Rob From Amersfoort should visit there during the annual spring Tulip Festival. Bring wooden shoes.

Holland, Michigan, is worth a Google for pictures.Relax Maxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01051381168322495999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8673631888005019643.post-19400658154101430422011-11-09T01:33:01.584+00:002011-11-09T01:33:01.584+00:00I love lighthouses anywhere so this one I really l...I love lighthouses anywhere so this one I really like.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00920831144240024660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8673631888005019643.post-54120923926640288122011-11-08T22:33:39.253+00:002011-11-08T22:33:39.253+00:00Glad to see you here in the U.S., Sheila. About a year ago, my friend and I stayed there and were delighted to find it was filled with seniors, mainly. It was a wonderful overnight, right on the Pacific...only downer is that you couldn't bring wine.RNSANEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02841873957894861725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8673631888005019643.post-25732032478824084602011-11-08T22:18:08.962+00:002011-11-08T22:18:08.962+00:00Lovely. Holland Harbor and Grand Haven. They sit in my cabinet and I see them everyday!Little Nellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11862657943846727987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8673631888005019643.post-79409589834604149732011-11-08T21:05:36.951+00:002011-11-08T21:05:36.951+00:00@Karen, Grand Haven sounds wonderful. I would have thought The Netherlands would have been closer but of course Michigan has water on all sides.

@bardamu, thanks for visiting! In The Netherlands there are 29 active and 15 deactivated lighthouses. Michigan is more than twice as large as Holland, but still it is an impressive quantity. I always imagine Michigan to be one of the US states which looks like Holland the most.Rob From Amersfoorthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05126935681056217032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8673631888005019643.post-40966553937989672192011-11-08T18:04:34.221+00:002011-11-08T18:04:34.221+00:00Oh yes, I so enjoyed this! My Aunt and Uncle live on Lake Michigan in Grand Haven....and we would always visit there as often as possible! Grand Haven has an amazing bright red lighthouse! It's even cool in the winter with huge chunks of ice hanging from it!Karen S.http://twincitiesblather.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
