Lake Garda

Postmarked Brescia, dated 11 June 2003

Lake Garda/Lago di Garda

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. It's northern part is long and narrow, and surrounded by mountains. Nearby is Verona, another UNESCO World heritage Site.

  2. It's not a part of Italy I know at all, but I'd love to visit.

  3. This does look beautiful. The closest I've been to any of the Italian lakes is Milan and I know that isn't really close. I am afraid I am running out of years to see all these beautiful places...at 65, I am just blessed that I have seen so much. These postcards, at least, give me a little taste of what I am missing and reacquaint me with some of the wonderful places I've seen!
