Postmarked Tampa, dated 21 March 1980. It arrived on 8 April with excess postage due. Strange the things that stick in the mind - I can remember my father being furious at having to pay.

Gasparilla Island is one of several along the Florida Coast. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful. Gasparilla Island State Park is at the southern end of the island. The story that the island is named after a pirate is unlikely to be true. It is more probable that it is named after a Spanish missionary.
