Old Mansion, Rustaq
Sultanate of Oman
Rustaq was once the capital of Oman. The fort there is an imposing structure, containing separate houses, an armoury, a mosque and four towers. The town itself is fairly modern.
I just wanted to say hello Sheila. I hope all is well with you and the family honey.

Oman. I seldom think of Oman. I like the palm trees and the old mud (we would call adobe) buildings.
ReplyDeleteI like this one! I love the idea of old castles built in the sand.
ReplyDelete@Jodi, hi! I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDelete@Max, it doesn't enter my thoughts often either. I only know the name.
@Emm, it's very attractive isn't it. I like it too even though I couldn't find out much about it.
This card is really evocative of Oman. I'm blessed at the moment to have a student from Oman in my Grade 6 class here in the Montreal area. She and her three siblings are spending a few years here in Canada.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you that our frigid temperatures and deep, heavy snow are a real change!
Evelyn in Montreal
@Evelyn , moving from Oman to Canada must be an incredible shock!
