PFF - Send more postcards

Postmarked very faintly but dated 18 October 2009 and I received it two days later.  The postal service from Finland is always excellent.

The person who sent this very pretty card to me said that it's one issued by Finnish Post to promote the sending of postcards.  The slogan is something of a mystery to me -  the first part is translated by Google as "Nice stuff, the card", but it fails to find any translation for the rest "så skojigt".  So if there are any passing Finnish readers, or anyone who could tell me what it means, I'd be delighted!

It seems such a good idea for Finnish Post to promote cards in this way, and it makes me wonder if it has some bearing on the popularity of Postcrossing in Finland.

This is a post for Postcard Friendship Friday.

  1. Hi!
Great card! Love the pretty blue of the sky. The kite looks like it's really flying away. I am at Postcrossing too. Have a great day!

  7. "Ett kort - Så skojigt" is actually Swedish language, and it's Finland's another official language. Here in Finland we write everything first in Finnish, then in Swedish. So it means almost the same as "Kivat jutut korttiin". Proper translation to that would be: "Nice stuff on the card/to the card"

  8. Oh Jenni, I was hoping you'd come by! Thank you so much. I hadn't thought it would be another language although I think I remember hearing that Swedish is the second official language.

  14. Fins must be doing a great job of promoting their postal service. (is that how you abbreviate Finnish people?)
