Shipwreck Bay

This is where I would rather be just now, in the glorious sunshine, looking down on the most beautiful crystal blue water on the island of Zakynthos, the third largest of the Ionian islands of Greece.  The particular spot shown on the card, Navagio (shipwreck), can be reached only by boat.  It is the site of a wreck, alleged to be that of a smuggler's ship.  As a result, it's often known as Smuggler's Cove.

  1. Ahhh- To be there now where it's nice and warm... Not here where it's cold, windy, and snowy! But spring is just around the corner (or at least that's what I tell myself)...Thanks for visiting last week and happy (week late) pff!

  3. It looks amazing. I almost had to search to find out where the Ionian Islands are until I noticed you'd tagged it with Greece.

By the way I've just posted another award for you :-)

  4. It is beautiful isn't it. Thank you all.

John, many thanks for the award. Thanks for doing the backward research so I don't have to. :) Sorry about the Ionian Islands not being identified, I will update the post. I always expect readers to be mind readers too.

  6. It's a country I've never visited, but so many postcards from there are absolutely stunning.
