Yawn!

I must admit Darwin's "Origin of Species" had much the same effect on me too when I tried to read it years ago.  It made such an impression on me, I can't even remember if I finished it.  The book Money or L'Argent by Emile Zola sounds as though it should be on a required reading list these days, at least for those in the financial world. I haven't read it but Wikipedia says the novel was intended to "show the terrible effects of speculation and fraudulent company promotion, the culpable negligence of company directors, and the impotency of contemporary financial laws".  The third volume looks suspiciously like the Works of William Shakespeare.  Hmmm.  Mixed feelings about that being there.

But this card has made an impression on me - it makes me smile and that can't be a bad thing.  I have to assume there has been some very clever Photoshopping going on, because no puppy I know would stay still long enough for that picture to be taken.  It will go on my cupboard door display of cards that make me feel happy.
This is a post for Postcard Friendship Friday hosted at The Best Hearts are Crunchy.

  6. Cute card, Sheila. There's something about puppies, and about dogs yawning - so the combo is irresistible.

  8. Those books look a little heavy (in more ways than one) for such a little puppy.

  10. That is an adorable puppy. I can almost feel his velvety fur. Great postcard! I think everyone can relate to that yawn when it comes to boring, required reading.
