Oranmore, Ireland



This pub or bar has been existence, it seems, since 1709.  It is, has been, and remains, a simple Irish pub, and it makes a great postcard.

Oranmore itself is 10 minutes drive from Galway, and as a result is becoming something of a dormitory town for the city.

    We stayed in Oranmore when we visited Galway during the Races this summer. We saw the pub in the postcard (see picture at end of blog post below) but didn't stop in for a drink. It was crazy busy because of the horse racing festivities. Maybe next time!
