I've managed to keep going for 1000 posts and in celebration, I thought I'd give out some postcards. Well, I'm afraid there isn't any chance that I'd be able to afford to send out 100 cards, never mind 1000, but I will part with a few.
The London ones I have are mainly the artist's impressions as shown, and I do have others of Kent lurking in my boxes.
If any of you would like one of the following cards, please send me your name and address by email to daily dot postcard at gmail dot com, removing the spaces and replacing the dots as usual.
It's going to be a case of first come, first served but I will try to meet your wishes if I possibly can so let me know what you'd prefer. Everyone is welcome, no matter where you live.
Congrats! Is it 1000 post 1000 postcards as well? That's quite a collection!!! Thanks for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1000 posts and postcards - a wonderful achievement and collection :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I'd rather like to send you a postcard from South Africa seeing as though I've been on holiday several times since we "met" and have never contributed to your collection!
ReplyDeleteWow, 1000 posts is quite an achievement, congratulations. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI am curious about where you store the images for your blog. I think I saw that a Picasa web album can only have a maximum of 1000 images, so I have been concerned about running out of space in the default album.
Congratulations on 1000 posts! All well worth it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to have stumbled upon your blog! I have a friend who also collects postcards and I like to contribute when I can. I have truly been enjoying browsing through your collect. You have some very amazing postcards! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching 1000 posts - that is some I achievement. I know how much effort and commitment is involved in posting regularly to a blog. Most give up after a few dozen posts. Keep up the good work :-)
ReplyDeleteSheila - you totally rock! 1000 posts! WOW. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI would love a postcard of the white cliffs of Dover, if one is still available. Always have wanted to visit there.
@Jorgelina, far more than 1000 cards in fact! In shoe boxes, sorted into countries.
ReplyDelete@Lisa, many thanks!
@Emm, I'm very happy to do that! :)
@John, thanks, you've helped swell the collection!
@Postcardy, it's true a Picasa album has a maximum size of 1000 but you can have several albums within your "My Photos". I think the size used to be 500 because I have one of 500 and a newer one of 697, plus some assorted otheres with a handful of pictures in each. I'm at about 6% full, so it says, but I don't use very high resolution.
@Adullamite, thanks to you too. :)
@Kristy, I'm so glad you found it, thanks!
@Glen, you're very kind. :)
@Mary, it's yours, and thanks!
I just recently started following your blog and Love it! I as well collect postcards and find it fascinating to see what other people find interesting. I hope you keep up the great posts!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sheila! Fantastic collection!
