I was browsing tonight, wasting time as usual, when I came across a site that was new to me, Post Pals. It seems that maybe my time wasn't wasted at all.
This small organisation, supported by the BBC Children in Need appeal, invites the public to send a card, a letter, or even a cheery email. Everyone loves getting something in the post but when you're sick and lonely it means even more.
These are very sick children who like receiving mail, and so do their families. If you can, please send an extra postcard to one of the children there, and bring a smile to somebody's face. Click on the banner above to find out more.
OMG girl you have done it now. I went to the post pals site and I am hooked. I have already sent one email and will be sending more. Thanks for letting me know about their need.

Thanks, Odie. I was really overwhelmed by the children and their stories when I read them and just want to help in some small way.
ReplyDeleteWell Sheila, I wrote to each of the children there and also put the information on my facebook asking my friends to do the same. I hope it helps a little.
