Gingerbread houses (Piparkakkutalo) are traditional in Finland at Christmas time. The dough can be bought in grocery shops or even complete kits with everything needed to assemble yourself.
Impressive gingerbread house, I thought there were bears outside eating it but then realised they were trees. Even with a kit I would never aspire to building something like this. Wishing you a merry winter solstice.
A very interesting version that is more complicated than the simple ones I usually see. Finland impresses me as a country with many talents.

This is far more advance than anything I've attempted.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I hope you have a fantastic Christmas :-)
This brings back memories. I worked at a hotel several years ago and for Christmas, I had to make 500 Gingerbread houses. No joke!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an impressive gingerbread house...though it looks far more elegant than a regular abode!!!
