More dragons

A New Year card that came from Japan.  I'm not sure why the message was written on the front.  The stamps came from the Chinese Year of the Dragon card I posted earlier in the week.

This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

  1. Good Morning Sheila as it is only 5:30 here across the pond. I have always liked dragons and that one is colorful and interesting.
Have a great rest of your weekend.

    1. I agree. The two below look as though they could hiss and spit.

  4. The message was most likely written on the front because that is the usual way of writing Japanese new year cards. Address on one side, message/picture on the other. Cute dragon. :)

    1. I didn't realise that, thank you, Maggie! It looks quite an amiable dragon, this one. :)

  5. I have some unused Japanese New Year postcards from the 1980s. I didn't realize that messages were usually written on the front there.

  8. I like the idea of New Year's cards as I hardly ever get my Christmas cards sent off in time!
That first dragon (the 2.50) seems to have quite a stride on him!

  9. What a cute baby dragon to be born in the new year with spring flowers. Love the ornate dragon and the twisting dragons on the stamps. The 3.50 reminded me of something I read about putting black ribbons on this year's dragons to signify the streams and rivers twisting and turning.
