Domestic landscape

Bert Teunissen, a photographer, has a long term project to show a picture of Europeans at home in houses built before the Second World War, and when we were still arranging homes to take advantage of light and heat.  In other words before electricity was commonplace and EU regulations had modernised us.  The project is called Domestic Landscapes and the link is well worth a visit.

One example of this vanishing way of life is shown in this card, La Alberca, Spain which appeared in an exhibition at Huis Marseille in Amsterdam as well as many other places.

The card came with these pre-euro stamps which seem to be connected with the three Rs: reading, writing and arithmetic.

Another card from the Netherlands brought me two further stamps that seemed to be child orientated:

This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"
