Bayon Temple
A wonderful surprise was waiting for me when I returned home one day last week, and this was it. It was sent to me from Cambodia by Sreisaat of Postcards Crossing and I can't thank her enough. Who wouldn't be cheered by such a card.
Bayon is a temple with approximately 200 faces like this one smiling serenely. Sreisaat tells me she is mesmerised by the enigmatic expressions and could stand all day and stare.
The Bayon Temple is part of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I can see why she would want to stare at these all day. What a fascinating card!
ReplyDeleteHappy PFF!
I can't wait to see Cambodia. I have been dreaming to see Angkor Wat for ages!
ReplyDeleteHappy PFF! Thanks for sharing this beautiful card.
Great card.
ReplyDeleteI was near there when in Vietnam in 1970 and like the card a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteIt is my personal favourite of all the temples inside the Angkor Wat complex.
What a place to see...sadly, though I've been around quite a bit of Asia, Cambodia wasn't on my list.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing postcard! Happy PFF!
