Bayon Temple

A wonderful surprise was waiting for me when I returned home one day last week, and this was it.  It was sent to me from Cambodia by Sreisaat of Postcards Crossing and I can't thank her enough. Who wouldn't be cheered by such a card.

Bayon is a temple with approximately 200 faces like this one smiling serenely.  Sreisaat tells me she is mesmerised by the enigmatic expressions and could stand all day and stare.

The Bayon Temple is part of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is a post for Postcard Friendship Friday hosted on Beth Niquette's blog, The Best Hearts are Crunchy.  Just click on the button to visit and join in.

  4. You are most welcome, Sheila!
It is my personal favourite of all the temples inside the Angkor Wat complex.

  5. What a place to see...sadly, though I've been around quite a bit of Asia, Cambodia wasn't on my list.
