Minsk, Belarus
Nemiga Street or Nyamiha Street (as it says on the card) in Minsk showing the yellow Church of Saint Peter and Paul hemmed in by what at least one person (Bezjak) describes as "monstrosities of postwar modernism". Actually, I quite like them though it's a shame the church is dwarfed like that.

I would love to see the detail of that building up close
ReplyDeleteI don't know all that much about Minsk except I once knew a lady who had one of their coats.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the building beside the church is for?
ReplyDeleteThe building on right side is a Fashion Center with bas-relief titled "Solidarity". This object represents the idea of cosmopolitanism, but not related to fashion.
DeleteI think that is stunning. I am dying to visit Belarus.
