Back from Canada

Back from three weeks in Canada and what do I find but a postcard from Canada, Nova Scotia to be precise.  It shows the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the old town in Lunenburg, a planned colonial town dating from the mid-eighteenth century.  It has apparently changed very little over the years.

It arrived with a Year of the Snake mini sheet on it, which stretched pretty well across the whole width of the card.  I was sad my holiday had ended, but this card was a very good welcome home for me.

This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

  3. That was a nice coincidence. A Canadian used one of those snake stamps to me but not the full miniature sheet, what a great design.
BTW in response to your comment Yes Royal Mail are issuing a Europa post van on 13th August as part of their Auto Legends theme however in what seems a trend over recent years are hiding it away on the miniature sheet featuring working vehicles (http://blog.norphil.co.uk/2013/05/british-classic-auto-legends-includes.html).
