Art from Taiwan

I received an early stamp issue for the Year of the Horse last December from Taiwan.  It came on a card which has the title "Swinging in the Garden" by He Cheng.  I haven't managed to find out anything more about it so far.

This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

  2. A lovely contemplative scene in contrast to the galloping horses. The painting has a modern feel to it, I wonder if the artist is 20th century.

  8. Beautiful postcard. Very artistic. Does it happen to say what kind of method was used to paint the picture? I've understood that in many cultures as in China or Korea they have their unique ways of drawing/painting on canvas with different tools.
