Bedtime story
Galla Yegorenkova (Галины Егоренковой) is a Russian artist who produces some really delightful pictures, including of course this one with the title "Bedtime Story" ( "Сказка на ночь") which was sent to me from Ukraine. Storytime was probably the best part of the day for us when my sons were young.
This is a post for Postcard Friendship Friday hosted on Beth Niquette's blog, The Best Hearts are Crunchy.

oh yes, story time was special with my kids as well. I was even reading to my daughter this year, she's in grade 12, when she didn't want to read the book for her English class.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute card, but I wonder why the pages of the books look so loose.
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestion of the box of Puffin cards. I looked up the images and it looks like a fantastic box. It's on my list to purchase.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely postcard. I had not heard of this artist before--what a beautiful painting. When my children were small--story time before bed was a favorite bit of time. I miss reading to them. Hahaa...I say that, and my children are grown and gone. I do have my darling niece, though. We love to read stories together.
