Optical illusion
I did a double take when I turned this card over and discovered the Royal Mail post boxes hadn't been sent from Britain at all, but from Switzerland. And then I could hardly take my eyes off the stamps.
Even after scanning, I think you can see the illusion of twirling in the first, and in the second the ball seems to float. I believe there were others in the set but I don't have them.
This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

An unusual card to receive from Switzerland, I will have to look out for GB postboxes while abroad, LOL, although they do have them in Malta only a different colour. Love the stamps,
ReplyDeleteThat bottom stamp is hypnotic! Great card.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how drawing like that can appear to move.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool stamp! Nice!!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy optical Illusion!
Interesting stamps!
ReplyDeleteI dont know about post boxes but I've seen a few red phone boxes here in the states- that threw me for a loop.
The postcard is very nice and the stamps definitely hypnotic.
ReplyDeleteOptical illusions make me dizzy and nauseous. But I love the red mailboxes!
ReplyDeleteBoth sides are great!
ReplyDeleteWow - those stamps are great! More people would notice stamps if they looked like this.
ReplyDeleteWow - that is so clever! I love unique stamps like these two you featured this week. I don't blame you for not being able to take your eyes off these stamps - you've been hypnotised! *LOL* If I stare long enough I get a funny, dizzying feeling.
ReplyDeletePostcards Crossing
Super! :)
ReplyDeleteFun stamps - and postcard!
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely mesmerizing stamps. I'll bet, if the postman was walking, he did a real double take! Perhaps, like me, the Swiss person brought home a dozen postcards he never got around to writing. I have at least a hundred here from all over the world. Usually, before a trip, I sort through to see if there are some I need to take with me, rather than buy new ones!
ReplyDeleteOh, those are fabulous stamps! You know, your stamp posts have got me wanting to see if I still have a stamp collection stowed away somewhere. After emigrating more times than I care to remember, I doubt it somehow.
ReplyDeleteI've just looked behind a sticker on the card and discovered it's a Zazzle card. That explains it. :)
ReplyDeleteEmm, do have a look, you never know!
