It's good that you're you ...

... and I can be myself...
A postcard sent from Lithuania.  I used Google translate to tell me what the Lithuanian words mean so I am prepared to be corrected. :)

The little boy's saxophone is almost as big as he is, so I'm fairly confident this displays some artistic licence.  I do enjoy street musicians.  The very best can be found near good music schools, a great treat for passers-by.

This is a post for Postcard Friendship Friday hosted on Beth Niquette's blog The Best Hearts are Crunchy.

  2. Happy PFF! Cute was also the first word I thought of when I saw your card. It reminds me of our Koninginnedag (Queens Day) in the Netherlands. There's a free market for everybody in the streets and in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam many kids sell their old toys or do a performance to earn some Euros. It's always fun.

  4. great card and sentiment. I on the other had cannot stand street musicians, a great many are awful, here in Toronto they have to be licensed to play in the subway, and I gotta tell you I so glad I'm not a ticket vendor and have to listen to them play all day. I was waiting for my friend the other day and this musician played the same horrible piece badly, over and over again, I asked him if he knew another tune, he didn't respond... But I'm sure the musician in your card would win many a heart. Happy PFF

  5. What a little sweetheart....reminds me of my son, now 41. When he wanted his first instrument for elementary school band, he wanted a sax ( second grade, I think )...I was a single mom, no child support so I encouraged him to get a flute...no way, it had to be a sax. He got to be pretty good at it, then he switched to keyboards, then classical guitar.
