Food, glorious food
Can food be a hobby? Certainly it's an all-consuming interest of mine (excuse the pun). I enjoy eating good food, and producing what I hope is good food from the kitchen. At one time I even produced food from the garden, almost all our vegetables and a constant supply of eggs from our chickens. I got close to gardening on a larger scale in a smallholding, but then the lure of computers reasserted their hold over me and I was lost to the smallholding world.
These postcards represent a series of stamps produced in 1989 the UK to commemorate the Food and Farming Year which was intended to promote understanding of the food and farming industries. I personally like the tiled background to each stamp which, in my mind, helps to link the produce with the kitchen.
This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

I would have thought both cooking and consuming food can be a hobby, not that I'm much good at the cooking part. I hadnt seen these stamps before, Sheila.
