International Women's Day 8 March
It isn't actually International Women's Day until 8 March but I think it fits quite well with the theme of women working, the prompt for Sepia Saturday.
The card I show you isn't an old image in that I received it only a few weeks ago from Bangladesh but in another way it's an ageless image of women working in a field.
A post for Sepia Saturday. A click on the button will take you to the Sepia Saturday blog where you can find links to all the other people taking part.

I suppose that those are not hats? In sepia tones they would be camouflaged.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly don't have anything to complain about...
ReplyDeleteAnd that's just on the way home after a hard day at work in the fields.
ReplyDeleteSomething I never had to do while working on a farm.
ReplyDeleteYou are right to remind us of the important contribution of women as workers as well as homemakers.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite right to remind us of the work women have alway done - and I guess always will.
ReplyDeleteThat couldn't have been easy, carrying all that hay or straw on one's head. Tylenol, anyone?
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting picture. And it does seem that if the picture was sepia, they might look like a tree or something.
ReplyDeleteI had to look at this picture twice to see the women!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like some bushes have sprouted human bodies and legs!
