Whitehall, London

Postmarked Keswick, Cumberland and dated 6 November 1952.
1st Life Guard Changing Guard at Whitehall.

When the Queen is in London, the Guard is made up of one officer, one corporal major who carries the standard, two NCOs, a trumpeter and ten troopers. This is known as a Long Guard.

This was sent to my husband when he was about 5 years old.  The message reads:
"This is a good place with lots of boats and fishing.  But no cowboys."
I presume he means Cumberland and not Whitehall.
