A map card of Senegal I found in a flea market, one of the very few I have from Africa. In French, because it was once a French colony and is now a popular tourist destination from France. The country almost completely surrounds The Gambia.
This card was sent from Mbour on the coast, on 17 October 2000. The message reads:
Hello from a country where it is very hot and the sun shines. Activity: sunbathing.
I wish I had more postcards from Africa, too. I am going to Morocco in April, but somehow that doesn't quite seem like Africa. Let me know if you want me to send you a card from Fes and Ceuta!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've sent you an email, Mary. :)
