A relatively unusual card from Monte Carlo where, to my way of thinking, many of the postcards leave something to be desired. The vintage ones are much more attractive and less glitzy. This one was sent by my son after many threats of excommunication. The Grand Prix doesn't interest me in the least but I did want a card.
Many, many years ago, I was in Monte Carlo with my boss and another colleague from work. Luckily, we were there a few days BEFORE the Grand Prix so I was able to get reasonable rates at the Monte Carlo Beach Resort. I love Monte Carlo and its beautiful spot above the Mediterranean. I have always been a fan of Grace Kelly and I feel so close to her there!

Wish I had the money to enjoy a Monte Carlo lifetyle.
I think whoever decided Monte Carlo was an appropriate place to stage a Grand Prix must have been insane!

ReplyDeleteMonte Carlo is so expensive it's nice to have a card showing the route of the race and the many sites along the way!
ReplyDeleteI received this exact same card not so long ago and was more than thrilled since I have a soft spot towards F1, and im always delighted when i receive a postcard which is F1 related even though i havent been following it this year, i still love F1 cards....having one written and stamped from Monaco is a real treasure :)
