I tend to think map postcards are a relatively recent development but this one showing Fife in Scotland must date from around 1910. The publisher, John Walker and Co. was in business 1903 - 1910.
Maps were such an innovation back then, so much so that many couldn't afford to have them. I guess this postcard allows the poor the experience a little bit of richness.
I wish I could get back to Scotland. My only time there was on a very short Trafalgar Tour many years ago. We spent only a day in Edinburgh and that certainly wasn't enough.
