Caminito, Buenos Aires
On a cold and rainy day this colourful card dropped through my letterbox to cheer me up.
Caminito is a narrow street in Buenos Aires which has been restored and preserved as a "street museum" with colourfully painted traditional houses. Many of the early inhabitants of the area were immigrants from Genoa in Italy, and it still retains some of European flavour.

I love the idea of a street museum. This postcard is indeed cheery and bright, without being too bright. I love it!

It did brighten a gloomy day. Sometimes bright colours suit only places with bright sunshine but the card was fine! :)
ReplyDeleteBuenos Aires is such a magnificent city....though I haven't been there in over 17 years. I had a fabulous week there, drinking fabulous red wine and eating huge steaks every night.
