We're all going on a summer holiday
Cape Cod, a popular destination for beach goers, and the destination of choice for the person who sent me the card. On it were two of the Go Green stamps that I think may be the current issue from the USA. I have received several of them recently.
I chose them because they look summery (no butterflies, sorry) but it raises the interesting question - is it easier to be green in the summer? Everything pictured on the stamps looks much more suited to fine and warm weather, at least to anyone feeling a little less than committed to the cause.
This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

Those stamps are so attractive. I think you're right - it's easier to be 'green' when the weather is favourable.
ReplyDeleteGreat post today my friend.
ReplyDeleteThe green stamps do look summery.
ReplyDeleteI like these 'Go Green' stamps. Green is vibrant; full of life! Green is for buko pandan shakes during the summer. A really refreshing drink! Buko pandan is a tropical cooler made from coconut meat and pandan leaves. :D
ReplyDeleteI like the go green theme :)
ReplyDeleteCape Cod is one of the places I would like to visit. You are right about the summery green theme, a sunny day and the washing is out, then sit at work and watch the clouds come in:-)
ReplyDeleteI lived in the Boston area about 45 years ago - my father was from Waltham. My oldest son was born at the Chelsea Naval Hospital which is no longer in existence. Back then, my former husband was a member of the base aeroclub ( he was an AF Lt ) and we would often rent a plane and fly up to the Cape. Most fun was landing in Hyannis where we could taxi the plane right to the back of Mildred's Chowder House where they made the most incredible seafood stew - a garlic andd buttery broth chock full of all kinds of good things.
ReplyDeleteI have only been to Cape Cod a couple of times, but I loved it each time. This postcard reminds me of those trips. Thanks.
