Indonesia
Three postcards arrived together from Indonesia the other day, from different people and sent on different dates. It makes you wonder if they were saving them up somewhere until they had enough mail to send to the UK.
This is one of the postcards but the stamps are from all three. A beautiful selection. The leftmost of the second and third set are from a set of four depicting islands, small outlying islands, Pulau-pulau Kecil Terluar..
This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

When I was growing up my family became good friends with an Indonesia family that we met through our church. They later moved to California, we went to visit them once and then just lost touch with them living so far away. They were a nice family and they had a lot of great pictures from their country! This is a great photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. Though I have received cards from Indonesia before, I haven't seen any of the stamps before!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card & stamps.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a nicely themed post through your letterbox, and a nice selection of stamps. I believe countries exchange weight for weight in post so yes they would have been saved up but what a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating, no matter how late,as long as you make it by the deadline. I always like landscape stamps.
ReplyDeleteYou were lucy to get all these; there are a fine group of stamps which tell us something about the country.
ReplyDeleteI have had that happen, especially with postcards from Japan!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any cards from Indonesia yet.
I will be back with a stamp post next week, but I still wanted to see what everyone else posted.
