Sleeping boy
From Ukraine, an example of the art of Taras Shevchenko, 1814-1861, who was not only an artist but a poet and great thinker, considered to be the founder of the new Ukrainian literature and an outstanding artist. There is a museum devoted to his life and works in Canada, in Toronto.
The boy model looks worn out and I know exactly how he feels. I will be taking a break for a time while I concentrate on family matters. I haven't run out of postcards, but I have run out of steam. No long-winded posts for a time, mostly just pictures.

Such a beautiful picture! You almost want to pop a blanket over him and tip toe away.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I looked exactly like that after our impromptu road trip to the Vietnamese border (and back to Phnom Penh) in just one day.
Re:Break, I can relate, especially now that the holidays are just around the corner. We all get to this point at one time or the other. Enjoy your break. Have a happy holidays :)
