Two from Texas
To say Two from Texas isn't quite right because the top one was sent from the Netherlands though I've no idea why. Maybe the sender was on holiday there and brought the card back.
I love the monarch butterfly on the second but I'm not so sure about the dung beetle. The only beetles I like are red with black spots. :) Even knowing that dung beetles are the same as scarabs and were sacred in Egypt doesn't really make me feel more positive about them.

Beetles can be far less then pretty for sure, but they do have their purpose, so we'll have to keep them around, right!
ReplyDeleteKaren is right in that they all have their place but I am with you in that I prefer to not be around the gross ones.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Beatles are John, Paul, George and Ringo. (I'm sorry, but somebody had to say it ;) )
ReplyDeleteNice Texas state map cards. I've never seen the bottom one before.
Two For Texas was a great movie. If you liked Dr. No and Honey Ryder. Honey got another chance in Two For Texas as a wriggly gun-slinger before her fame faded.
ReplyDeleteAh, I see. Two FROM Texas. That's very different. Never mind.
Actually, I think that movie was FOUR for Texas. So not even close.
ReplyDelete50% success. Not too bad.
DeleteIf you happen to have two more Texas postcards, now would be a good time to post them.
ReplyDeleteI don't even have to look, I have several. :)
DeleteI'm not a fan of most bugs. A spider bite caused my firt bout of cellulitis in each ankle and, now, I've had recurrent episodes. Butterflies I love, of course, and the Monarch is in California for much of the year. Locusts gross me out.
