Easter Sunday

...and we have snow!

But I chose this PHQ postcard before the snow arrived and with hope in my heart that the weather men would be wrong.

I couldn't find an Easter-themed card at all but this one put me in mind of spring, not only for the image (I love daisies) but because it symbolises, in a way, rebirth.  Mile End Park is a park in London which was created from industrial land that had been left waste after World War II bombing.  In it you can find the Ragged School Museum in the buildings where Dr Barnardo's school had opened in 1877 to give a basic education to children in the area.

This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

  2. Lovely card/stamp. We still have snow too, but at least it's sunny this morning.

  3. Lovely ethereal design. Just like the dream of spring arriving soon. Still it may do when the sharp wind and snow disappear.

  4. That's one of the Millennium stamps that I didn't see. A sign, I hope, of things to come.
