Isle of Man maps on Monday
Two older maps of the Isle of Man which is just off the north west coast of England. They must date from the late 50s or early 60s because they have 2 1/2d stamps which were the rate during those years.
On the top card you can see the TT course marked in red and yellow. The TT (Tourist Trophy) was a prestigious but dangerous motor cycle event held each year. At the date of sending, the race was part of the motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship but after 1976 the Grand Prix was transferred to the UK mainland because of safety concerns. The TT race continues to this day but is no longer part of the Grand Prix circuit.

The style/design of the 2nd postcard really reminds me of 1970s holidays.
