A week in Venice (day 5): Rio Priuli

Never posted. From the collection dating between the First and Second World Wars.

The Rio Priuli is one of the many smaller canals in Venice. It is in the Cannaregio district, to the north. The canal is unusual in that it has a pathway on one side. Normally canals and pathways are at right-angles to each other.

  1. You have no idea how much I have always wanted to go to Venice. It has always seemed so romantic. Can you imagine being young lovers in Venice? Sigh. :)

  3. Undoubtedly a perfect place for lovers, and truly very romantic. That's why I've included more of these "arty" postcards than the pictorial ones - because I feel they capture the atmosphere better. My own photos are hit and miss, but even they have atmosphere I think.

Welcome to my postcard collection! I love hearing what you think of the cards - but spam WILL be deleted.
