Tasmania, Australia
I've had a number of cards from Tasmania, including a map, and another specifically about Port Arthur, shown in the bottom section.
This card came with the stamps above, but other cards have had these baby animals from a series of baby animals. These two are the dingo and the kangaroo but others are the bilby, the koala and the sugar glider. Sugar glider? A shy, gliding possum, apparently.
This is a post for Sunday Stamps, now hosted by Violet Sky at "See it on a Postcard!"

What beautiful scenes on the postcards and the stamps are very nice too.
ReplyDeleteThe baby animals are really cute. I never heard of the bilby or sugar glider before.
ReplyDeleteLove the curving bay with a beach. My kind of place. Thanks for participating.
ReplyDeleteThe Navy stamps aremy favourites but the kangaroo's close behind.
ReplyDeleteI like the Navy stamps. This week I had a proper letter from my Cousin. The letter involving paper, ink and stamps - the old fashion sort! Anyway the stamp was a Kaola for $2.35 which I think matches the stamps you show. Great selection.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! I will be going to Tasmania next week for 3 weeks! Seeing this makes me even more excited! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have had some nice mountains this Sunday Stamps, but the middle picture has everything beach and hills. Lucky Medusa to be travelling there. I always like ships on stamps.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful part of the world...I spent a day there on a cruise..our last port before heading across the Tasman Sea to do the fiords of New Zealand and several ports in that beautiful country. I finally got my opal ( I'm a Libra ) there - I was determined to buy my birthstone in Australia!
