Mount Rainier

Postmarked Everett WA and dated 29 July 2004.

No further information on the card apart from the photographer's name, Terry Eggers.

Mount Rainier is an active volcano in Pierce County, Washington. It and the surrounding area are protected in Mount Rainier National Park.

  1. Mt. Rainier is practically in my front yard!

    Having lived in the Puget Sound/Seattle area for virtually all my life, I've been to the mountain many times.

    It is, hands down, my favorite mountain of all. Washington state has, I believe, five active volcanoes: Baker, Glacier Peak, Rainier, St. Helens, Adams - but Rainier is the prettiest.

    If you ever get the chance to visit it up close, by all means do.

    It's in Boardman Country!
