Postcard Friendship Friday: Angkor Wat
Postmarked Phnom Penn and dated 10 January 2009, and with beautiful stamps.
The Angkor Wat is the world's largest religious structure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built for King Suryavarman II as a state temple and a capital city. The temple itself is the only one to have remained as a religious centre since its foundation and is an example of magnificent Khmer architecture.
I include this for my first Friendship Friday because I received it recently from a new friend, Sreisaat of Postcards Crossing, someone I have met through the internet.
