Tibetan murals

Dated 5 September 2009.
Making offerings

This beautiful card shows a Tibetan mural.  I haven't really been able to find out a great deal about these murals, but apparently they have evolved from early rock painting and usually have a religious message, though some depict historical events or show everyday life.

The card had these lovely stamps.

  1. I like the stamps, I was a stamp collector as a child-though I did give it up once I grew up.

I guess most postcards wouldn't have too many cool stamps-as they are often unused or use cheap postage anyway.

    The Mural is pretty.

  2. I was never very much of a stamp collector, though my father was. People seem to go out of their way to put nice stamps on, at least these days, but of course you're right that the postage is fairly cheap so there is a limit.
