Quinta Real Hotel, Zacatecas
A pre-printed stamp which doesn't appear to need a postmark, well it certainly doesn't have one. Dated 15 September 2009.
Hotel Quinta Real.
The old San Pedro bull fight ring was inaugurated on September 15, 1866. It was the site of famous bullfights of Ponciano Diaz, Lino Zamora, Epifanio del Rio, Manolete, etc. Today it is the Quinta Real Hotel and has won international architectural recognition.
Zacatecas, Mexico.
It's certainly a stunning looking building, which must make a magnificent hotel. Presumably there is no feeling that it was once a bull ring. It was exciting for me to have received this - the first sent to me personally from Mexico.

I wish it had a postmark. It sure is a pretty building.
ReplyDeleteI know stamps and postmarks are a side issue, and that I'm all too inclined to go off at tangents, but I do find the postmark interesting when I can read it. Did you chicken out of telling me about the award? Just assumed I'd notice? :)
