I've been saving this card for an appropriate moment, and the moment has arrived! It was sent to me from Finland at the end of October but as often happens with cards from Finland, it has missed the franking machine so there is no postmark on the stamp.
The sender says this is a very common view in Finland every winter. It looks very attractive but as the sender also says, the mailmen won't be too happy if there's too much snow around the mailboxes.
That's a perfect card for today.
ReplyDeleteYour saving is great, today is the moment :)

Wow, that is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Reminds me of Christmas cards when I was small - it is SO Christmassy. Good luck with moving house Sheila & happy PFF.
ReplyDeleteThe snowy setting on your postcard enhances my holiday spirit. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Scene... thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's a scene straight off a Christmas card. Perfectly lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat brightly colored snow capped mailboxes too! How do the mailmen avoid getting snow in the box when they open it I wonder? Perfect PFF!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card.
ReplyDeleteNeat image! The postman was apparently not the photographer.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card!
ReplyDeletewow! you couldn't have found a card that better matched marie's theme - xmas AND postboxes! reminds me of when i used to live in the foothills of the sibillini mountains here in italy...
ReplyDeleteWe seldom get snow in my neck of the woods, but I did get see a nice little snowstorm the other day. It didn't last and the world didn't change into the lovely landscape on your card.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'd rather look at it than be in it.
I can imagine it must be difficult delivering mail in the Scandinavian countries...but they must all be picture postcard beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely scene, almost makes you want to run home and open the letters by a roaring fire, with a hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteNow, I am dying to go to Finland. I've just read a series of funny and imaginative books by Finnish author Arto Paasilinna. In one of them a postman is one of the main characters, and this postcard brings me again in the mood of his tales.
ReplyDeleteA lot of postboxes on the photo, by the way.
Snow scenes like this always make me feel jealous! I want to play in the snow :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat postcard, Sheila! Very cosy photo! :)
ReplyDeletethat is one beautiful card
